God's love is a persistent devotion, His devoted love for us is the example that helps us to love others aswell! What would we prefer to His love? What could we love more than those we hold dear? Nothing in the universe! Who are the loves of our life? Let us count them all in delight!
And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. Deuteronomy 6:5
