Writer's pictureThe Busy Praying Mom

Don't just be a warrior. Be God's warrior

Lets just be honest. Motherhood is one of the hardest jobs in the world. Some days seem to be as precious and memorable as ever. Other days seem to feel as though you're on the edge of a mental breakdown. We can not always control how our day will turn out when it comes to parenting, so making sure you pray before your feet hit the floor will help alleviate some of the stress you come across. Too often we feel like we have to be warrior moms, super moms, or the so called "perfect mom". So instead of facing it with the hopes of not losing your cool, start off by asking God to be your warrior instead of trying to be one yourself. Allow Him to be your guard, and your guide. Take in His love, put on His armor, and shields. What better way to block the slings and arrows of the day. In moments of toddler tantrums, or teenage antics, let God's compassion be the blanket that protects you and your sanity. Christ is a great warrior, a champion, and our best protector. His light will allow you to see in the dark moments of parenting. His comfort is strong enough to keep anything from causing you to break. Let His grace bring you peace no matter how crazy things are around you. Don't try to so it all momma. LET God be your warrior. Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Ephesians 6:13
