We are human, so when real storms, and bad weather like this happen , its so easy to fall prey to satan and give into anxiety and fear. When these emotions come on , its crucial that you collect your thoughts and keep strong in your faith and wear it proud. You hear all the time of people being killed because of their faith. God wants us to show it, and own it like a boss! We should never be afraid to shine Jesus or tell of the Gospel. Its a normal reaction though to hide your anxiety, especially to peer christians. After all we are human. When this happens remember to remind yourself that by hiding ur anxiety . Your in a small way hiding your pride for your faith. Struggling with anxiety myself, I have to regularly remind myself that although this world is dangerous , Our Lord is my SAFE HAVEN. Example: Ok, say your super nervous about the dangers your kids will face going to a new school, (as moms we have all done it) with that same thought think about the thousands of kids who don't get to go to school at all, or the kids that walk to school while landmines are placed all over the ground. In situations like this where anxiety creeps in , knock the devil off of ur shoulder and say "nope not today satan. My father walks with my baby today. " Please turn to Romans 8:1 -2 "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death." Lets pray........ Lord , how I long to stand strong in the faith ! I read of the martyrs of old and question my own loyalty and courage . Would I , if my life hung in the balance, say , "Yes , I believe in God"? I pray I would , Lord . Continue to prepare me for any oppurtunity to stand firm for what I know to be true. To live without conviction is hardly to live at all. Amen. Todays quote......WHAT'S A QUEEN, WITHOUT HER KING?
