It's Ok To Say No To Toxic

Updated: Jan 31, 2020

I wanted to touch on a topic today that I hope will help. I have seen a lot of it in several friends and people around me. We have all had circumstances in our life , where we just had to grit our teeth and push through. You have had to make the decision to cut someone out of your life, whether it be a friend, a family member, or a spouse, simply because it was too toxic or abusive to your life and to your heart. This is where faith comes in. God gives us lessons all the time. He is our father, he knows what's best for us. Just like we do, as parents. You tell your kids not to hang around bad influences or toxic people right? Well this same rule applies to you. Respect yourself enough to know you are a woman of God and you are Mighty! It is never ok to stay in a job or relationship that's unhealthy. Especially if it hinders or goes against your relationship with Christ. Its ok to stand up for yourself , as long as your eye is on the Lord while you do it. As Woman in situations like these we tend to be insecure and feel unworthy. Sometimes you have to walk away to discover yourself worth. Ladies it is not until you love YOURSELF, that you will truly let anyone else love you. That includes God. Once you realize your worth, you will feel worthy of his love. Therefore you will not feel so dependent on whatever relationship, or job that's holding you down. Then if you choose to return to this relationship you return stronger and healthier. In turn so will the other person. Its ok to take a break and say I'm taking my life back. I'm giving the hurt to you Lord. Let God heal you, so you can return a better woman. Focus on YOU and God will work on YOU. Don't let the fact that the other person hurt you, get in your way. Have faith God will fix things . This can be hard , this doesn't mean your the one that was wrong, it just means your the mentally stronger person, and that you need help. And it starts with you. There's nothing wrong with that. Confidence in your self can come from the Lord if you allow it. Its scary , trust me I know , But once you take that leap of faith , the other person will take it too. Have FAITH that God will get you through. Turn. Your bible to Deuteronomy 31:8 "And the Lord , he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed. " Lets pray...... Lord , give me faith to take the next step , even when I don't know what lies head. Give me the assurance that even if I stumble and fall, you'll pick me up and put me back on the path. And give me the confidence that, even if I lose faith, you will never lose me. Amen. CONFIDENCE IS, INSECURITIES ARE LOUD!
