I sure hope we dont get those bad storms they are talking about. It is april so its only mother natures way of reminding us huh? Speaking of weather. When we need to find answers about the temperture or tornado warnings , we seek the wisdom of news , or apps or our local meterologist right? We should seek the Lords knowledge the same way we seek worldly knowledge. His knowledge never lies. We have no control over the world around us , yet we somehow feel like keeping ourselves in the loop by paying attention to these things is gonna change. I am not saying dont watch the news , i am not saying dont take precaution. I am simply saying, that. Trusting these sources too much or watching them too much can cause uneeded anxiety and worry. Maybe just maybe social networks, and television is the devils way of trying to get you to stray from the Lord. Seeking these things in stressful times is a small form of trying to control our own life. Todays verse is Luke 11:9-10 "And I say unto you, Ask and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh receiveth; andbhe that seeketh findeth ; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened." Lets pray.... Lord, I know you will show your goodness and faithfulness to me if I just diligently seek you. The problem isnt your willingness to give, but my tendency to try to do everything by myself rather than leaning on and trusting in you. This silly inclination brings me needless stress and wastes precious time. Today I endeavor to lay my needs and troubles at your feet the minute I begin to feel the least bit overwhelmed.Amen.
