Forgiveness in Parenting

Writer: The Busy Praying MomThe Busy Praying Mom

Maybe there is a mother out there today .... That just wants to reconnect with her child but simply has not had the courage to do so. Sometimes as you grow up and your children move away . You don't always agree with the adult decisions that they make. It can be hard to handle especially if you have done everything you know how to raise them up right. The story of the prodigal Son is a good example..... It reminds you as a mother of the bond parents and children share, and it reminds you of the simple fact that your children are human. They are going to make mistakes; sometimes they are going to disappoint you , deeply. But as parents , we are called upon to love our children , and forgive them , even when they have hurt us. Listen..... God knows exactly what feeling this way means. Even when we make mistakes His love for us remains a constant. If this is a current issue in your life.....Today I encourage you to forgive your child and reach out to them. Go to God and ask Him to give you strength and wisdom to always love your children and be there for them, even when they disobey. Todays verse is.....Luke 15:20-21 " And he arose, and came to his father. But when he has yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion , and ran , and fell on his neck , and kissed him. And the son said unto him, Father , I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son."

This is so encouraging and definately a confirmation from God! I am believing that this will be the year of the prodigal and our sons and daughters will come home! 💜
